I have an '02 r6 with 5500 miles on it, polished frame, swingarm n rims, with a slip on d'n'd. I met this kid whom has a '99 900 rr with 4100 miles on it. He's a little dude and he says it is just to much power for him. I love the RR's and the value is around the same. For an even swap bike 4 bile is this a good trade? Why...why not? Any negitives from going from an'02 to a '99...(i.e. technoligy). Any info will be very valuable...thanks.

Anybody know if the 2003 R6 footpeg brakets will fit other R6 in the previous years (such as 2000 for example) or any other years?

Here's the deal. This is my second summer of riding. I'm doing alright but I still can't lean far at all around corners. My pussy marks on my back tire are at least half an inch. Is it me subconsiously not doing it cause i am scared, or do i not know how to do it? I don't actually feel scared going around the corners...but WTF??? Why can't i give my bike some fucking angle and give it the berries? (AKA, balls to the walls. It's the upper peninsula of michigan, we talk funny sometimes) I...

if yall had to choose between metzeler m1's and michelin pilots sports, which tires would you choose. ive looked at both and both feel about the same as far as grip goes, but im not sure how they actually perform.

i have an 03 r6 6k miles d-d slip on the past few weeks my bike feels as if it losing more and more power neigbor has yam 600r and now i can barely outrun him in the straights before it was no match bike feels like it starting to bog alot any tips?????

I'm gonna give it a shot in a general forum.. not much help from the buying/selling links.. Looking for some parts for a '00 R6.

Looking for:

Mid fairing R/H any color
Footpeg bracket and footpeg for the riders left side (not passanger)
Front Fork, or just the fork tubes
left side alternator cover, also knows as engine cover

Is it safe to get a tire patched?

I've got some kind of leak on my rear tire on my bike and I'm wondering if it's safe to get it patched. I'd hate to have to buy a new tire but if it's safer I'll bite the bullet and do that but hate to throw away a new tire. Any ideas? Also, any recommendations on where to get a tire repaired in Dallas or buy a brand new one? Thanks.

What kind of gas milage are you guys getting?

Today, I ran out of gas on the highway. I got 151 kms on a tank, and that is 7.5 kms after my gas light came. I think this is extremely bad gas milage. I was getting 300 kms a tank on my f4i. Any insight on what the problem might be?

I was sent this site to look at from a buddy who said i should check it out because i am just going through the final financial stages of buying a 2004 R6. i came to this site to get a glimpse of what it will be like to get this as my next bike. However upon arriving here i have been reading all kinds of horror stories about the 03 coil, and i know they changed that but there seems to be a second gear slip problem as well that continued into the 04's? Can someone please share some good...

I got it in Silver. But I like the blue also! Which do you think is better and why? I like the silver a lil diff. I don't like the flames. Need to know so I can cancel order and get the blue??

Tire Mounting/Balancing costs?

How much does it typically cost to have new tires mounted and balanced on the R6? I have absolutely no idea since I haven't yet had the tires changed but wanted to get a figure in my head so I know if I'm getting a decent quote or not when Im calling around.

My 03 cut out

I've run a search on this and nothin. Basically mid corner, about 35/40mph my bike just cut out. What if anything have people down about this and how many times has it occured????. I remember reading about this some time ago and a couple of people had it happen to them.

I usually just put the weight on my hip and turn, but the front wheel may hit the ground sometimes. My friend did it so clean, but i missed how he did it. Any tips?
