1. Improper prep. Brake light not disconnected or properly covered. Blue masking tape does not hide the light unless you use four layers. Brake levers broken or so poorly adjusted that you crush your fingers pulling them tight. Steering dampers not on or on so tight the bars hardly move.

I actually did really well today all things considered. It was my first time at the strip, it was about 85 degrees and the was a giant low pressure sitting over Illinois...

Every bike there was running really low traps due to the weather. Stock busas were in the mid to high 130s....a stretched Gixxer 1K was only trapping 128...ect. set up suspension.

Thats about it. I know someone mentioned securing caps and all type of covers. So what do you need to do there? drill holes?

I am planning on painting my bike this weekend. That little black plastic piece on the bottom of the tank – is it removable?
I might just paint it along with the plastic frame pieces and rear hugger, but I was wondering what others have done.
Also, is there a way to take off the those round Yamaha stickers without damaging them? I probably wouldn’t put them back on the tank, but I wouldn’t mind sticking them on something else.
