Fabricating a wiring harness

I am knee deep in to tearing my bike apart just to fix some wiring issues. I just got a 04 r6 3 days ago and its in a lot worst shape than I originally thought it was in... it became clear to me this was going need a lot of tlc when the muffler fell off on the ride home. It was weird because I took the bike for a 30 min test drive and then my buddy took it for a test drive to see if I missed anything and there were no problems. Other than the muffler falling off on the way home I also lost...

I have an '02 r6 with 5500 miles on it, polished frame, swingarm n rims, with a slip on d'n'd. I met this kid whom has a '99 900 rr with 4100 miles on it. He's a little dude and he says it is just to much power for him. I love the RR's and the value is around the same. For an even swap bike 4 bile is this a good trade? Why...why not? Any negitives from going from an'02 to a '99...(i.e. technoligy). Any info will be very valuable...thanks.

Anybody know if the 2003 R6 footpeg brakets will fit other R6 in the previous years (such as 2000 for example) or any other years?
